"It may well be a broken road, but Crook walks it with a sure step and her head high to come home with one of the year’s best albums." FOLKING.COM

It opens with Broken Road, which, setting the pattern of catchy, radio-friendly melodies and chorus hooks, has a certain folksier Fleetwood Mac feel ” - Folking
A clear voice, vaguely reminiscent of Kirsty MacColl, as is her songwriting, guitar lead music make this timeless pop music, a bit sixties... and all quality” - FATEA

December Tour with Winter Wonderband and our new album!

I'm off on tour for the rest of this year with WInter Wonderband and we have a brand new album out. It includes a beautiful new version of my song  Apples which I recorded on ‘Carnforth Station’ as well as Slow Down December from ‘The Year, She Turns’  -  “ a jaunty, jazzy number, which calls to mind Fairground Attraction at their finest” - Folk North West Magazine. The double album is available to pre-order now on our Bandcamp. If you like your seasonal music more folk than supermarket, do check out the venues near you, book some tickets and come and say hello!

Back in Canada!

I had a fantastic time playing in Canada last month at the Super Show Weekend at Quiet Earth, Ontario. As well as a number of solo performances, I joined the amazing cast of singers, muscians and actors for the album launch of ‘The Truth Window’ by Brent Jones, recorded and mixed near my home at Real World Studios in Box, UK. It was an absolute joy to return to this beautiful part of the world and catch up with my Canadian friends. I was quite in love with this gorgeous Gibson J45 too!
